Many Archive Lane services involve personal, historical, or sensitive materials. We recognize the trust placed in us and apply heightened care and discretion to all project-based work.
Digitization & Preservation Projects
For services such as photo digitization, video digitization, document digitization, slideshows, and memory books:
Client materials are accessed only for the purpose of completing the requested service
Digital files are handled within secure systems and shared only with the client
Files are not used for marketing, training, or demonstration without explicit written permission
Physical originals are returned, retained, or securely destroyed according to the selected service and client instructions
Genealogy & Family History Projects
Genealogy services may involve research into living or deceased individuals and family records.
Research is conducted using publicly available records or materials provided by the client
Findings are shared only with the client
Archive Lane does not publish, distribute, or share genealogical research results
Sensitive family information is handled respectfully and confidentially
Clients are responsible for how shared genealogical information is distributed after delivery.
Custom Books, Programs & Collaborative Projects
Custom book projects (including school, team, or community programs) may involve multiple contributors.
Archive Lane relies on the project coordinator or client to obtain necessary permissions from contributors
Materials submitted are used solely for the agreed project scope
Archive Lane does not verify contributor rights beyond client-provided assurances
Final deliverables reflect approved content at the time of production
Notary Services
Notary services involve identity verification and document witnessing.
Personal identification is reviewed in accordance with Pennsylvania notary law
Archive Lane does not retain copies of notarized documents unless required by law
Notary services do not include legal advice, document preparation, or validation of content
Secure Shredding & Disposal
For shredding and secure disposal services:
Materials are destroyed responsibly and irreversibly
Shredding is performed only upon client request
Archive Lane does not review document content beyond what is necessary to confirm eligibility
Once destroyed, materials cannot be recovered
Project Communication & Records
All project communication, estimates, approvals, and revisions are handled through:
Email correspondence and/or
Secure project workspaces within our website platform
Project records are retained for operational and legal purposes and are not shared externally.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for:
Ensuring they have the right to submit materials
Backing up their own digital files
Reviewing proofs and deliverables prior to final approval
